Carnival Ibiza 2017

All the information on things to do this Carnival in Ibiza, in one same place!

Ibiza Town

From 23rd February and until the 1st of March Ibiza town has a planed a variaty of activities for all the family to join in.

Starting this Thursday 23rd from 5.30 to 8.30 pm, with the traditional Mariol.los day! A day in which adults and kids let go of their inmagination and try to come up with the most special and original costume possible. You are not supposed to buy it!

There will be worshops, music and a big omelette for every one at the Antoni Albert i Nieto Square

Friday 24th
Is time for some music! The ‘Banda Sinfónica Ciutat d’Eivissa’, will be performing at Antoni Albert i Nieto’s Square from 9pm. The concert will be conducted by Adolfo Villalonga.

Saturday 25th
‘Aventura canina’, a musical based on the much known TV show Paw Patrol.
A great variaty of actvities and workshops will be held between 4.30 and 8 pm

Sunday 26th
The Big Day! This is the day of the Parade!
The parade will be departing from Av. Sant Josep at 11.30 am.
And to celebrate the end of the parade you will be able to enjoy a great Paella.

Wednesday 1st
The last day activities! Is the day for another Spanish tradition, the burial of the sardine!!

The burial of the sardine is a Carnival celebration on Ash Wednesday, in which the figure of a large sardine is walked and led to burying, all in a burlesque way, to symbolize the end of the carnival and the beginning of Lent.

From 6 pm to 12 am, at Parque de la Paz. You will be ofered sardines and you will enjoy music and dance performances.

Sant Antoni

Saturday 4th March
16:30 Gathering at Dr. Fleming Avenue’s parking lot.
Departure 17.30.
When finished, festival and awards for the best costumes at the marquee in Passeig de ses Fonts.

Sant Josep

Thursday 23rd
Cala de Bou – Sant Josep
Route: departing from Avenue. St. Augustine (next to SUMA’s supermarket) – c/Madrid – c/Dec Caló up to the municipal offices.

Santa Eulália

Tuesday 28th

Departure: Av. Cesar Puget, participants should be in place before 4 pm in order to depart at 5pm.
Route: Departure: Av. Cesar Puget, C/José Guasch Vich, C/Sant Jaume and ends at C/Sant Jaume after the Plaza España where the floats will continue and participants can stay for the party and awards.

Sant Joan

Sunday 26th
All day Carnival festivities!! Market, concerts, popular paella… And in the afternoon the parade, troupe and anyone who wants to participate in the Gran Rua de Sant Joan 2017. There are prizes for all categories. We’ll be waiting for you!!!
